Shelter Pets features plush animals that are based on real-life adopted pets. Every Shelter Pet was taken in by a non-profit shelter or rescue, and their story is featured on the Shelter Pets website along with real photos from their families.

Shelter Pets now includes over twenty plushies including dogs, cats, a fox, a bunny, a horse, a raccoon, a bear, a pig, and a rat. They all have their own story to tell, and are soft, cuddly, and ready to be loved!

Each Shelter Pet is 10 inches tall (Chunk and Xena are 10 inches long, Beaker 14 inches long, and we offer some 16 inch variations as well) and are stuffed with beans on the bottom and in the paws.

Tillman the Goofball Pitbull from Salem, Oregon

Tillman is a pitbull with a huge personality. He’s goofy, stubborn, playful, friendly, and so loving. Everyone in Tillman’s neighborhood knows him (he’s famous for his collection of bow ties). As a puppy, he was confiscated from a woman in Salem, OR, who had over 100 dogs in her possession that were crammed into dome kennels. Tillman had been rehabilitating with the Humane Society for a month when I got him, and he was still so thin, I thought he was part whippet. Tillman was adopted at 7 months old, and he’s now 7 and a half years old and living the life of his dreams. He has all the foods and toys and cozy spots and blankets and loves he could ever want.

Each Shelter Pet is based on a real life pet that was adopted through shelters around the USA, with their stories on the Shelter Pets website along with photos of the real-life pets that each Shelter Pet is modeled after.
